The Installing Staff were: District Deputy President, Rachael Person, Deputy Chaplain, Dolly Thompson, Deputy Warden, Allen Cundief, Active Past Noble Grand, Joyce Baker, Inside Guardian, Dolly Baker all of Mexia Rebekah Lodge No. 190, Deputy Grand Marshall, Mae Kelly of the Teague Rebekah Lodge No. 466, Deputy Grand Musician Corine Bartlett of Lodge Joseph Collins No. 7 of Houston. There were 47 present. The following were installed: Noble Grand, Marie Long; Vice Grand, Bessie Mills; Jr. Past Noble Grand, Helen McAlpine; Warden, Emily Roberts; Conductor, Mae Kelly; Chaplain, Ruby McCormick; Color Bearer, Rosie Brown; Inside Guardian, Raymon Wilsn; Outside Guardian, Lorne Wilson; Musician, Billie Sledge; F.S.N.G., Florice Allbritton; L.S.N.G., Helen Stewart; R.S.P.N.G., Lola Ferguson; L.S.P.N.G., Pearl West; R.S. Chaplain, Helen Snodgrass; L.S. Chaplain, Mable Black; R.S. Chaplain, Hery McCormick; F.S.V.P., Tony Campbell; L.S.V.G., Steve Campbell. Mrs. Etha Taylor was elected Lodge Mother. She has been a Rebekah for 52 years and is loved by all. She puts forth every effort possible in serving the best of her ability, always for the good of the Order. The Noble Grand, Marie Long presented her with a gift of love and appreciation. Billie Sledge sang the Noble Grand, Marie Long's song; "Just A Closer Walk With Thee". She also sang the Vice Noble Grand, Bessie Mills' song, "In The Garden". Noble Grand, Marie Long will pass out her year book Thrusday night July 20. Jerry Meads of Teague Chronicle covered the installation for the Rebekah's taking of pictures. Ruby McCormick also took many pictures. The By-laws were revised and approved by Vice President Jerry Miller. The Rebekah's will be meeting on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. starting July 24.
