  Mr. John C. Chumney, a prominent and highly esteemed young man of Brewer, and 
Miss Linda Sims, daughter of the late G. A. Sims, near Cotton Gin, were married
in Fairfield last Sunday evening at the residence of the bride's uncle, Mr. T. J.
Sims, Rev. E. J. Brown officiating. The bride is a well known and most excellent
young lady, and the newly-wedded couple will have the good wishes of their
numerous friends throughout the county.  Mr. Chumney is teaching school at 
Birdston, and he and his pretty bride went there Sunday evening.
