Dallas Morning News April 13, 1952 Miss Barbara Dell Nicholas Weds H. N. Bass in Fairfield Miss Barbara Dell Nicholas, 100 North Edgefield, exchanged nuptial vows Saturday night with Hugh Neil Bass in the Fairfield Methodist Church, the Rev. J. H. Malone officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Maggie Nicholas of Fairfield. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State Teachers College, where she belonged to Anne Gibbs Society, and is a teacher at City Park School. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Bass of Fairfield, was graduated from Stephen F. Austin State Teachers College, where he was a member of Lambda Gamma social club. He is a teacher in the Fairfield school. Mrs. Watt Newman and C. W. Hefner presented music. Kenneth Eubank gave his niece in marriage. She wore a gown of white moire satin fashionedwith a marquisette yoke, long fitted sleeves and a full skirt sweeping into a train. Her French illusion veil fell from a tiara of seed pearls. She carried calla lilies. Miss Bonnie Nicholas of Fairfield was her sister's maid of honor, Miss Leta Su Eubank, Mrs. W.G. McDonald of Wortham and Miss Una Glazener of Denton were bridesmaids. C.E. Childs Jr. of Fairfield was best man. Ushers were M.P. Edmondson of Palestine, R.E. Lee of Waco and H.B. Bonner of Donie. Mrs. John Wheeler of Bryan registered guests at a reception in the bride's mother's home. Mrs. Earl Long of Teague served cake and Mrs. Ralph Kitchens of Fairfield presided at the punch bowl. The couple will be at home in Fairfield after a wedding trip to New Orleans, La.
