75th Wedding Anniversary Celebrated This Sunday, June 5th

Everyone is invited to attend an anniversary celebration on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

Barbara and Robert Chesnut will be celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary.

Reception will be held beginning at 12:00 noon at First United Methodist Church 
Fellowship Hall in Fairfield, Texas.

Light refreshments will be served

Chesnuts Celebrate 75th Anniversary

Bob and Barbara Chesnut of Fairfield, Texas, recently celebrated their 75th 
anniversary. A reception was held honoring them at First United Methodist Church 
of Fairfield.

Robert Chesnut married Barbara Garrie on June 4, 1947 in Mission, Texas. Bob 
worked for Halliburton and his work took them to Eunice, New Mexico, Falfurrias, 
Texas, Mission, Texas and Alice, Texas. During that time, he and Barbara raised 
two children, Gary and Diana.

Barbara worked in the library in Falfurrias, and in school cafeterias in Falfurrias 
and Alice. She also served as PTA president and was active in United Methodist 
Women. Bob has been a mason for 67 years and is a beekeeper.

Upon retirement in 1987, Bob and Barbara built a house in Fairfield, where Bob’s 
family had land, and where his mother worked at the hospital. They have enjoyed 
35 years in Fairfield!

Bob and Barbara have two children, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, 
and one great great grandchild.
