Known children: Emily Francis, born 23rd Jan 1871, Galveston, Texas, died 12th June 1872, Galveston, Texas. Roderick, born 11th Feb 1875, Houston, Texas, died 13th Oct 1879, Houston, Texas. Georgina, born 18th Feb 1880, Houston, Texas. First married to Henry Broecker, circa 1898, by whom she had a son George, born on 25th Jan 1899. Re-married between July and October of 1908 to a Mr. Newlen, and moved to Witchita Falls, Texas. Alexander Louis, born 14th Nov 1883, Houston, Texas. Occupations: 1866 - Worked on first street car track in Galveston & Rolling Cotton. 1867 - Watchman on steamboat Ruthven under Capt. Gordon. Caught Yellow Fever and nearly died. Worked in Cotton Press. 1868-69 - Receiving Clerk in Cotton Press. 1870 -71 - Receiving Clerk for G.H.& H.R.Rd. Also in Grocery House of P. J. Willis, Mark & Kempner. 1872- 1908 - Worked in the machine shop of the Houston and Texas Central Railroad, ending up a qualified and respected machinist and engineer.
