September 23, 1890 Galveston, Tex., September 18 -- B. L. Cummins was arrested here today on a charge of assault upon his own daughter in Cass county. He had succeeded in escaping from the enraged people of that county and was on his way to Memphis when arrested. He acknowledged his identity. He will likely be lynched.
