B. Allen took place this forenoon from her late home, 419 Travis street. A great number of friends, among them an unusually large proportion of ladies, were present to pay the last sad tribute of love and regard to all that remained of one they had so warmly esteemed in life. A devoted wife, an affectionate mother and a true friend had passed from the scenes of this life and was laid to rest in the quiet precincts of beautiful Glenwood. Rev. Mathew Brewster of the Episcopal church conducted the solemn and affecting service. The floral contributions were large and symbolized the joy of her eternal life. The pall bearers were John H. Ruby, A. C. Allen, A. B. Cushman, W. N. Shaw, W. S. Keflinger and George Kidd.
