All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/tx/txfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Den Hallows sahallows@aol.com February 18, 2005, 12:38 am The County News July 2, 1942 Alvin - Suffering a heart attack on the derrick floor of the Humble's Rattlesnake Mound wildcat early Sunday morning, Earl DeForest Graham, derrickman died at Alta Loma at 1:30 a.m. while fellow workmen were bringing him to Alvin for medical attention. Justice Edwin Bruce, Jr., of Alta Loma rendered a verdict of death from heart failure. The body was brought to the Martin funeral home in Alvin and prepared for shipment to Kilgore, where funeral services were held there Tuesday. The Masonic lodge had charge of the rites at Kilgore. Mr. Graham had only been employed on the wildcat well for a few days, coming here from Lovell's Lake where his family resided. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Danny, 7, and Jerry, 14 months old. A sister who lives at Jefferson also survives him.
