Roy Lemmon
Texas City -- Roy D. Lemmond, 83, of 3209 23rd St. North,
died Wednesday morning at Danforth Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Emken-Linton
Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stephen Allgood officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Park East in League City.
Mr. Lemmond was born Sept. 26, 1895 in Upshur County,
Texas. A retired boilermaker, he was a Texas City resident
for 33 years. He was a member of the Boilermakers Local
No. 132, and of the Northside Baptist Church of Texas City.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie Lou Lemmond of Texas
City; two sons John D. Lemmond of Texas City and Charles
R. Lemmond of Orange; a daughter Jo Ann Gallaway of
Texas City; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Carpenter of Shreveport,
La.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitors may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. today.
