Galveston, Tex., June 26 - Robert Shaw died this morning at Sealy hospital of
Bright's disease. He was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1829 and had resided in
Galveston since 1853.

He served in the confederate army as a Texas marine under Gen. Rusk and John
F. Carr and became a member of Camp Magruder, No. 105.
