Mrs. Allen “Allie” Klein nee Helen Straube of Fredericksburg, Texas passed 
away in Knopp Healthcare & Rehab on Friday, January 1st, 2016 at the age of 
89 years. She was born October 7th, 1926 in Gillespie County, Texas the 
daughter of William Charles Straube and Theresa Staudt Straube, married 
Allen “Allie” Gottfried Klein on October 22nd, 1947 in St. Mary’s Church in 
Fredericksburg.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Allen Klein, daughter, Barbara 
Klein, granddaughter, Stacey Crenwelge, brother, Edwin “Jack” Straube. 

She is survived by the following, four daughters, one son & spouses, Betty & 
Clayton Crenwelge; Mike & Ruth Klein; Nancey & Allen Tatsch; Sandi Beckmann; 
Irene & Kirk Gartman all of Fredericksburg, eight grandchildren and eight 
great grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers, Rosa & Clayton Grobe; 
Lawrence & Arnette Straube; Robert & Lyn Straube, and Margaret, Mrs. Jimmy 
Loitz all of Fredericksburg

Vigil services will be held on Sunday evening at 6:00 P. M. in the Schaetter 
Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, with Deacon Patrick Klein officiating.

Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, January 4th, 2016 at 
2:30 P. M. in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, with Father 
Kris Bytomski officiating.

Graveside services and interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in 
Fredericksburg.

Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to the St. 
Mary’s School Endowment Fund, Doss Vol. Fire Dept., or to the charity of 
their choice. 

Visitation for Helen Klein will be on Sunday afternoon from 5 to 7:00 P. M. 
and on Monday from 7:00 A.M. to 2:15 P. M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in 
Fredericksburg.
