The Marriage License Index I mention in the Transcriber Remarks, is a manuscript titled 'Gonzales County, Texas Marriage Licenses Issued 1829 - 1900', copyrighted in 1993 by Marjorie Lee Burnett. I have her permission. 3. All spelling of Birthplaces are as recorded in census. 4. All spelling of Occupations are as recorded in census. 5. All spelling of Relationships are as recorded in census 6. During the tallying of the Census, marks were made over the first name and relationship of the heads of households. 7. Enumerator spells Missouri as Mosouri or Masoura. 8. Enumerator sometimes spells Louisiana as Lousiana or Lousianna. 9. Enumerator spells Carolina as Carlina, Corlina, Carlinia, or Corlinia. 10. Enumberator spells Tennessee as Tennesee. 11. Page 283B was blank withthe following comments written by the enumerator across the page: "When I commenced on this Schedule, I did not know it was blank on this side and after filling sheet A. Found this side blank and have not time to copy it so Next schedule will commence on Sheet side C. SE Bell." 12. Enumerator spells Elizabeth as Elisebeth.
