Baker Chief Justice and Exofficio Notary Public of said county Sarah E. Gilbert wife of Jasper L. Gilbert and D.M. Patterson wife of W P Patterson who in my presence did mark and sign seal and deliver the within deed and achnowledged that they done the same voluntarily and not from reward or fear of their said husbands for the consideration expressed in said deed. Gilbert & wife to R.B. Wafford The State of Texas} Know all men by these presents that we Gonzales County} Wm. P. Patterson and his wife Drucilla M. Patterson Jasper L. Gilbert and his wife Sarah E. gilbert all of the county and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to us in hand paid we have this day relinquished all right title interest and claim in and to a certain tract piece or parcel of land and lying and being in the county aforesaid and known as part of the headright claim of Andrew Lockhart and sold be said Lockhart to Rollin B. Wafford containing two thousand acres more or less as will more fully appear by referance to A Lockharts deed to said Wafford bearing date June 11th AD 1846. And we and each of us bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators firmly by these presents to relinquish our claim to said premises to said Wafford. Gilbert and achnowledged that they and each of them did sign the within and foregoing deed to Rollins B. Wafford for the conditions therein specified and at the same time came D.M. Patterson wife of the William P Patterson and Sarah E Gilbert wife of the above Jasper L. Gilbert and they and each of them being having been examined by me in accordance with the statutes made and provided in such cases did both achnowledge that they did sign the written deed and done the same voluntarily and with fear reward or compulsion of their said husbands the said William P Patterson and Jasper L.
