CONLEY a Commissioner duly appointed under and by virtue of a decree of The Honorable Probate Court of the County of Gonzales made at the November Term of said Court A.D. 1847 as of the May Term of said Court A.D. 1841 on the Petition and by an agreement in Court duly filed signed by all the Heirs of BYRD LOCKHART, deceased on which is bored a Decree of Said Court to partition among said Heirs the Headright League of the said BYRD LOCKHART situate in said county ans being League Number Five in Class Number Two and in which partition the Heir ANDREW LOCKHART drew the following described piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in said County and being a part and parcel of survey League 5 in class No. 2 and beginning at a stake set in the bank of the Guadalupe river for the upper corner of a tract of land partitioned to MARAGRET BARTON and Lower corner of this survey from which an elm 14 inches in diameter marked K W bears N 44 degrees E 2 1/2 varas Thence up said River with its meanders N 35 degrees W 330 varas N 15 degrees W 200 varas North 380 varas N 25 degrees E 60 varas N 50 degrees E 180 varas N 10 degrees W 120 varas West 250 varas S 45 degrees W to the upper corner to a stake from which an elm 10 inches in diameter marked A L bears N 26 degrees E 4 varas Thence on a true line S 10 degrees E eight hundred and forty varas to a stake from which a Margrette tree 12 inches in diameter marked A L bears S 77 degrees E seventy varas Thence S 28 degrees W to a stake in a pile of rocks six hundred varas Thence S 20 degrees W Fourteen hundred and seventy varas to a stake from which a Live Oak 14 inches in diameter marked A L bears S 37 degrees E 25 varas Thence S 50 degrees W fourteen hundred and eighty five varas to a stake from which a Post Oak marked B B bears N 3 degrees W 1 1/2 varas Thence S 67 degrees W two thousand seven hundred and twenty five varas ( 2725) intersected the SW Boundary line of Survey No. 5 in Class no. 2 Where set a stake from which a Post Oak 12 inches in diameter marked A L bears S 52 degrees E 2 1/2 varas Thence S 60 degrees E four hundred and fifty varas with the line of said League to a stake from which a Post Oak 14 inches in diameter marked S D bears S 71 degrees W 5 1/2 varas Thence N 67 degrees E Two thousand seven hundred and twenty nine varas to a corner from which a Post Oak 12 inches in diameter marked A L bears 63 degrees W 8 varas Thence N 50 degrees Fourteen Hundred and eighty varas to a stake from which a Musquette ( mesquite ?) 10 inches in diameter marked A L bears N 47 degrees E 4 1/2 varas Thencde N 20 degrees E Fourteen hundred & seventy two (1472)varas to a stake from which a Musqueete (mesquite ?) tree 14 inches in diameter marked A L bears S 22 degrees W Two hundred and twenty two varas Thence S 28 degrees E eight hundred and seventy varas to the place of beginning and containing five hundred and ____ acres more or less In consideration therefore of the foregoing authority I hereby assign and set ___ unto the Heirs of the said ANDREW LOCKHART deceased all the rights title and ______ that the estate of BYRD LOCKHART deceased had in and to the foregoing parcel of land to them their heirs and assign forever to have and to hold in free simple and perpetual aleination Given under my hand and a ____ for a seal at said County this 28th day of October A.D. 1852 I.
