Lockhart deceased The field notes of which are as follows (towit) Jasper L. Gilbert is to have the following parcels Beginning at the upper or most N.W. Corner of Bird B. Lockhart 1/4 of a leaque on the Southwest side of the Guadalupe river. Thence running South 3277 1/2 varas to the S.W.Corner of said 1/4 league. Thence East 333 varas to stake a P.O. 15 inches in diameter bear 22 E 16 varas. Thence N. 1000 varas to a stake a live oak 28 inches in diameter bears S 24 degree 40 E. 124 varas. Thence up the river Guadalupe with its meanders to the place of beginning. William P. Patterson is to have the following parcels, Beginning at the NorthEast Corner of Bird B. Lockhart 1/4 leaque of land it being the lower corner of said Survey= Thence running with the East line of Said survey South 2248 1/2 varas to the S.E. Corner of said survey. Thence with the south line of Said 1/4 of a league West 1038 varas to stake standing West of a Survey of 367 acres for Bird B. Lockhart and a Black Jack bears S 38 W 1 5/10 varas. Thence running North 1800 varas to pecan marked with a blaze on two sides. Thence N 67 E 223 varas to stake a mulberry bears S 40 W 4 varas. Thence N 28 W 245 varas to a stake on the bank of the river a pecan bears S 30 varas 35 inches in diameter. Thence running down the river Guadulupe with its meanders to the place of Beginning. Andrew Lockhart is to have the balance of said headright claim of Bird B. Lockhart be the same more or less. To which agreement we bind ourselves our heir and assign firmly by the agreement a copy of which is to be as an original in the hands of each. Gilbert & wife to R.B. Wofford The State of Texas} Know all men by these presents that we Gonzales County} Wm. P. Patterson and his wife Drucilla M. Patterson, Jasper L. Gilbert and his wife Sarah E. Gilbert all of the county and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to us in hand paid we have this day relinquished all right title interest and claim in and to a certain tract piece or parcel of land and lying and being in the county aforesaid and known as part of the headright claim of Andrew Lockhart and sold to Rollin B. Wofford containing two thousand acres more or less as will more fully appear by referance to A. Lockharts deed to said Wafford bearing date June 11th AD 1846. And we and each of us bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presents to relinquish our claim to said premises to said Wofford. Gilbert and they and each of them being having been examined by me in accordance with the statutes made and provided in such cases did both achnowledge that they did sign the written deed and done the same voluntarily and with fear, reward or compulsion of their said husbands the said William P.
