The Inquirer understands that Mr. Logan was very ill with appendicitis when removed to the City Sanitarium where an operation was performed in the hope of saving his life, but that it was too late, death following a few hours later. He was reported able to be up and about early in the day. He leaves a grief stricken wife, two brothers, Ed Logan, a half brother, and E. L. Logan and a sister, besides a number of other relatives. He was born and reared here and was a son of the late Winn Logan. His grandfather was among the pioneer citizens of the county, the Logan family being old timers in this immediate section. Mr. Logan was only 34 years, 11 months and 16 days of age. Four years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Freda Ronshausen, daughter of Henry Ronshausen of this city, the couple settling down to happy wedded life, and moving into a home of their own out on North Avenue some time ago. For several years Mr. Logan was connected with the Gonzales Telephone Company as line man, but of late he was in the restaurant business, being proprietor of the Highway Lunch Room at the time of his death. Genial in disposition and enjoying the warm regard and esteem of all who knew him, his sudden passing has filled the hearts of many friends with deep regret. The remains will be laid to rest this afternoon in the City Cemetery, following funeral services conducted at the family residence by Dr. W. K. Penrod at 5 o'clock. In her great bereavement, the sorrowing wife will have the sincere sympathy of every one. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/txfiles/ File size: 2.3 Kb
