The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgenwebarchives.org The Gonzales Inquirer, August 28, 1919: Little Son of Mr. and Mrs. Braley a Victim of Spinal Meningitis Calvin, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Braley of this city, died at the family residence south of East Avenue Wednesday evening at 6 p.m., succumbing to spinal meningitis, and with complications. The little boy was ill but a little over a week. Besides his parents, he is survived by several little brothers and sisters. He was about eight years old, we understand. His father is fireman at the Cotton Mills. The remains will be laid to rest this afternoon at 4 o'clock in the City Cemetery. Dr. W. K. Penrod officiating. The bereaved parents will have the sincere sympathy of the community in their sorrow.
