Moore, living 7 miles east of town, had died at 10:45 o'clock today from congestion. He had only been sick two days. Mr. Moore's age was 61 years, 3 months and 11 days. He is one of the early settlers of this county and a good and honorable citizen. He will be buried tomorrow at 11 o'clock in the Masonic Cemetery. Friends and acquaitances are respectfully invited to attend. Additional Comments: Andrew J. Moore was born 24 Jan 1832 in Williamson Co., Tenn. and came to Gonzales Co. in about 1854 with his father, William Moore, and four (4) younger brothers. He married 1)Virginia Tinsley, daughter of Dr. John T. Tinsley, on 7 Sept. 1858. She died in Jan. 1865. On 27 Sept. 1865, he married his second wife, Melissia A.C. Boothe, daughter of William S. Boothe. they had one son, Robert I. Moore, born 26 Nov. 1866 in Gonzales county. At the time of Andrew's death, the family was living in the Maurin community east of Gonzales.
