This cemetery has been recorded as the Hollingsworth ceme. 
but it was actually the Old Ellsworth Comm Cemetery. 
The Hollingsworth family did not arrive there till after it 
was long in use. Originally it had many wooden markers.
 Guesses of up to 100 graves.
It is located near the intersection of Hwy 91 and 691, about
one block west on the north side of the road.Between Sherman
and Denison on the Grayson co. Airport Rd. (691)
Located on the grounds of a commercial nursery who have
graciously fenced it.
The Ellsworth school stood nearby.

Douglass, Katie  dau. of W.C.& L.A. Douglass
   20 Dec.1848- 4 Oct.1863
(This stone is broken and on the ground almost unreadable
She was the daugter of William C. Douglass b. in Tn
in 1811 d. in Clay County Texas in 1884 and Lucy
Anna Seawell Douglass . All of the
family moved to Clay county after Katie died.)


Hollingsworth, W.V. (William Vincen) 26 Sept.1837-7 Feb.1905
Hollingsworth, E.J. (Ellen Jane Witten) 18 Aug.1843-
       24 Mar.1926 his wife
This couple lived in Farmington and then moved around the
turn of the century to the Ellsworth Community

I was told that one of Mrs. Hollingsworths brothers are 
buried next to her unmarked.
