Larimont (Brigance), March 23, 1986: Sherman, Grayson Cou nty, Texas Services for Marie Eugenie Brigance, an 89 year-old homemaker who died Saturday in a Sherman hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Forest Avenue Baptist Church. The Rev. Jeff Reid of the church will officiate and burial will be at West Hill Cemetery. Waldo Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Brigance was born in Nogent En Bassingy, France, a daughter of Francois Albert and Elisabeth Isabell Larimont. She was a World War I bride, having married William Paul Brigance on March 25, 1919, in her native city. After World War I, she and her husband moved to Pierce City, Missouri, and then to Sherman in 1920. Mrs. Brigance was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Forest Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors are her son, John Brigance of Dallas; daughter, Dorothy Walton of Sherman; five grandchildren and three great-children. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and other times at the family residence, 207 E. Wilson Street. Memorials may be made to the Marie Brigance Memorial Fund, in care of Forest Avenue Baptist Church.
