Rex Hendrickson and Rev. Jimmy Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Terry Dean Wilson, Jack Manes, Bill Manes, Jarod Barton, Andy Molloy and Johnny Ray Reed Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Cronin and Jeff Osburn. Thelma Elizabeth (Sullivan) Gourd, daughter of Joe and Laura (Wiles) Sullivan, was born March 2, 1909 in Denison, Texas, and died Sunday, March 10, 2002 at her home in Tahlequah. Thelma was a member of Peggs Community Church and for many years, was a resident of Cherokee County. A hard working person, she loved to quilt and sew, cook, and most of all, spend time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Troy Manes Sr., William E Reed and Martin Gourd; her parents Joe and Laura Sullivan; 11 brothers and sisters; a daughter, Mary Sue; an infant son; one grandson and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by her children, Troy Manes and wife Lilla Mae, Hubert Reed and wife Helen, Johnny Ray Reed and wife Bonnie, Doris Price and Nora Hildreth, all of Tahlequah, Jimmy Reed and wife Betty of Broken Arrow and Letha Cronin of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one sister, Lucille Warren of Tahlequah; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loved ones and friends. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the building fund at Peggs Community Church.
