We had to hike in off the road about 50 yards, through poison oak. This is on private property and the neighbor isn’t very nice, so we wouldn’t suggest trying to locate it. All of the information is listed here. The graves are in a 10x40 plot with a cement footing all around it. Even with all the oilfied equipment around, it is still a lovely setting, lots of trees, and someone has planted Irises all around the border. THERE ARE NO HEADSTONES. All the information comes from a metal sign with the names TIG welded on it. UPDATE This week, July 25, 2000, I was introduced to Mr. Eddie Phillips, who originally researched this cemetery. He worked diligently contacting descendents to find out who was actually buried here, through bible records, family plats, and memory. Mr. Phillips gave permission for me to use this information. This will update our original submission, even though there are duplicates. This cemetery was used for burials prior to 1848, covering about 4 acres of ground. Abandoned now, few graves (no headstones) can be located, due to time, climate and vandalism. The first metal sign was erected in 1978, in an effort to identify it. Work was done by the four children of Minne M Clements Phillips, (Eddie Phillips mother) who is grandaughter of William W Walters and his wife, Mary Johnson Stone Walters.
