Thank you Ryan for allowing us to post this information on the Gregg Co., Tx GenWeb Project! We will be updating this cemetery in the near future. This cemetery is located in White Oak, Gregg County, TX. This cemetery for the most part was relocated from a site approximately 1 1/2 miles east of the intersection of Hwy 42 south and the Sabine River. When this was done is unknown. The original cemetery was on the Mimi Castleberry land on the north bank of the river. Take Hwy 42 south out of White Oak, just past the water treatment plant, turn right, the road curves around and the cemetery is on the left hand side of the road. Being located so close to the Sabine Valley Baptist Church, which is an African American congregation, this is more than likely an African American cemetery. If we find any evidence to the contrary we will let you know.
