Services for Sam Randolph Funderburk Sr, 77, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday, March 28, at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. David Green officiating. Masonic rites will follow by Longview Masonic lodge 404. Arrangements are by Lakeview Funeral Home. Mr. Funderburk died Sunday, March 26,2000 at a local hospital. Mr. Funderburk was born Jan. 20, 1923 in Columbus, GA He was founder and CEO of Longview Mechanical Contractors and a veteran of the U.S Navy in World War II. Mr. Funderburk was a Master Mason, being a member of the Longview Masonic Lodge 404. He was a member of the Waco Scottish Rites and the Sharon Temple Shriners. Mr. Funderburk was also a member of Pine Tree Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Funderburk is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Dick and Sheriee Staub of Sugarland, David and Kathy Funderburk of Lake Cherokee and Sam Jr. and Brenda Funderburk of Spring Hill. Three daughtersand two sons-in-law, Sandra and Ron Bozell of New Diana, Janet and Mark Jacobs of Houston and Ruth Ann Funderburk of Dallas; two sisters and one brother-in-law Kathryn Howard of Columbus, GA and Johnnie and Pat Leftwich of Shalimar, Fla. 16 grand-children; He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie C.
