H. Harris, pioneer settler of Guadalupe County, but more recently a resident of Hot Springs, Ark., died Saturday, April 20, 1935. He was 89 years, 10 months, and 7 days of age. A gathering of friends were present at the Brushy Creek Cemetery Tuesday morning to pay their last respects to their departed friend. Dr. Draper, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Luling, led the divine services, after which his body was laid to rest beside his companion, who had preceded him many years before. He is survived by four sons, Britt, Kingsbury, J.L. Luling, J.F, Blythville, Ark., and E. L. of Seguin. A number of grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. William Francis.
