Seguin, Texas Prepared for the internet by Wanda Qualls Feb 1, 2005 The prevailing epidemic of Influenza makes it necessary that extra precautions be taken to prevent the spread of this dread disease, and upon advice of the City Health Officer, I issue the following: "By virtue of authority vested in me as Mayor, I hereby order that all Picture Shows, Schools, Lodges and Churches be closed, and in fact all public gatherings be prohibited untill such time as the improvement of conditions shall warrant a supension of this order."
