Mrs. McClary was the daughter of Mrs. R.M. Hamilton, of Lockney, with whom she was stopping. Crazed by the heat, the mother sometime yesterday led her three tots, aged three months, three and five years, respectively to a vacant house near her mother's home. This house is situated in a lonely spot surrounded with rank weeds, with a mind mill at the rear. Taking the children one at a time into an upstairs room, the mother killed them, throwing their bodies through the windows into the weeds outside, which hid them. She then hanged herself to a cross piece of the wind mill frame work. The bodies of the children were badly mutilated. A note was found stating the mother alone was responsible.
