He re mained a Texas gentleman to the end. Doyle will be remembered for: his hats, good Scotch, good food, Texas two-step, family, friends, and patriotism. Volunteer at Sepulveda VA for more than 30 years, two terms as Exalted Ruler of the S-T Elks, Air Force 1960-66, member American Legion Post 377. As the "Voice" of induction cooking from 1976 to the present, he was one of the early pioneers in the field. He is survived by his loving family: wife, Louise; daughter, Rhonda (Ron); son, Doyle Jr.; step -son, Larry (Cecilia); step-daughters, Karen, Stephanie (Dan) and Elizabeth (Alfonso); grandchildren, Jason (Catherine), Jonathan, Joey, Samantha, Daniel, Michael, Justin, and Alfonso Jr (born August 1st); and great-grandson, Jason Doyle Jr. (born July 20th); brothers and sisters: David (Denise), Kim (Rick), Larry (Rita), Sharon (Melvin), Rodney, Judy (Claibourne), Becky, Donna, Don (Karen) and Darla (Andy); numerous nieces and nephews, a large extended family, and friends beyond number. Predeceased by his parents, Doyle E. and Helen; step-mother, Susie Irene; and brother, Greg. Following the example set by his father Doyle remained strong, taking care of the family no matter the personal sacrifice. He loved life, knew how to party and to have fun. To family and friends he always had a wise word and patient ear. An Elks Memorial Service and a celebration of Doyle's life are planned for Saturday, August 19, 2006, 1:30 p.m., at the Sunland-Tujunga Elks Lodge, 10137 Commerce Ave., Tujunga CA 91042.
