Obituary appeared in the Silsbee Bee on October, 1947:
Pierce W. Perry Buried Here Sunday Evening

Funeral Services for Pierce W. Perry 66, of Silsbee, who died in St Therese 
Hospital in Beaumont after a lingering illness, were held in the Methodist 
Church in Silsbee at two o’clock Sunday afternoon.

Rev. J. H. Malone officiated at the services. Burial was in the Rest Haven 
Cemetery at Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.

Mr.  Perry was a native of Merryville, La, but had lived in Hemphill prior to 
moving to Silsbee a year ago.

Pallbearers were C.C. Holt, W.M. Free, E.L. Sargent, Emmett Lemons, H. F. 
Fuller, and Theo Robbins.

Surviving are his wife of Silsbee; five daughters, Mrs. J.F. (Thelma) McGee and 
Miss Patsy Jean Perry of Silsbee, Mrs. J. H. (Edna May) Lemons of Evadale, Mrs. 
Lloyd M. (Bessie Mae) Wright and Mrs. Olen (Dora Goldie) Burleigh of Beaumont; 
five brothers, (John Sullivan Perry) and John (John Cleveland Perry) of 
Merryville, (William Riley Perry) and Ed Perry of Lake Charles, and Luther 
Perry of Anacoco, La, and four grandchildren.  (Note: Patsy Perry is now Patsy 
Collier) 

Pierce is the son of John Theopolis Perry & Louisiana Nelson Perry
