He was someone who appealed to people of all ages, young and old. Years ago he had made a profession of his faith in Jesus. Scriptures Brother Joe Brumbelow mentioned in his message included Romans 10, John 14, Luke 16 (the rich man and Lazarus), Titus 3:5, and Romans 3:23. Brother Joe said, “Larry did not deserve to go to Heaven. Nobody ever deserved to go to Heaven. Nobody ever will. Eternal life is a ‘gift’ of God.” Many of Larry’s friends were at this funeral. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16; The Bible. “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Ghost.” -Titus 3:5; The Bible.
