All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Local Woman Dies In Wreck Near Houston Sunday October 7, 1934 Mrs. Charles Bicknell, Resident of Cedar Grove, Fatally Hurt Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Bicknell, 25, of 201 E. 73rd street, fatally injured Friday night in an automobile accident near Houston, Texas, will be held early this week, word recieved here Saturday indicated. Three other occupants of the car were injured but Mrs. Bicknell's infant child (three months old) was unhurt. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Maxey, also of 201 73rd street, and the mother of Mrs. Bicknell and Mrs. Maxey, who lives in Rosenburg, Tex., were those injured. Mrs. Maxey received a broken arm and the extent of the other injuries has not been learned here. All three persons are in a Texas hospital. Charles Bicknell, employed by the Jersey Gold creamery, left Friday night for Houston after hearing of the tragedy. Mrs. Bicknell and the Maxey's left here Wednesday to visit the women's mother at Rosenburg. ---
