Born to Mary Elizabeth Keenan Lang and Oscar Lang on May 4, 1909 in Houston, Texas. Graduated from St. Agnes Academy, Houston, attended Rice Institute, Houston, and St. Mary of the Woods, Terre Haute, Indiana. Married to Claude Taylor Fuqua, Jr. on November 20, 1929. Mrs. Fuqua was active in sons school activities, PTA, Mother's Guild, St. John's School, Houston, Texas. In Dallas she was a member of Dallas Women's Club, Thalia, Dallas Dinner Dance, Guild of The Christ Child, Rejevian Book Club, 24 Book Club. Survived by husband, Claude T. Fuqua, Jr.; two sons, Claude T. Fuqua III, Lang J. Fuqua; daughter-in-law, Nancy; seven grandchildren, Paul Fuqua, Rosemary Hemsell, Veronica Young, Susan Hamm, Taylor Fuqua, Lang S. Fuqua, Moody Fuqua; and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends beginning at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening, January 5, 2000 with a Rosary to be recited at 8:00 P.M. in the Northwest Hwy. Chapel of Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 6, 2000 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3017 Preston Rd., Dallas, Fr. Michael Flanagan, Celebrant. Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, January 7, 2000 in the Glenwood Cemetery, 2525 Washington Ave., Houston, Texas.
