(The two churches had merged in the late 1970s) At the Funeral Brother Joe Brumbelow, her former pastor, made the following comments about Betty Gayle: Her favorite book was Romans. Her favorite passage was Romans 8:24-39. I baptized her 40 years ago. Betty Gayle taught children in Sunday School for many years. She was a G.A. Director for many years. She worked in Vacation Bible School for many years. She taught Adult Women in Sunday School. Brother Joe also noted that many years before she had made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. -1 Corinthians !5:51-52 A book about Rev.
