MEYER.--John C. Meyer, aged 30, died Monday (March 3, 1919) at 5 o'clock at
the Stratford Hotel.

Mr. Meyer had been employed in the Goose Creek oil field by the E.F. Simms
Company. He came here from New York City a number of years ago. He formerly
lived in Palestine and was a member of the Palestine lodge of Elks.

He has no surviving relatives. A. Man_el_, Jr., a friend will make
arrangements for his funeral. The Settegast-Kopf Company has charge.
