Mrs. Dora Foster Matthews, 95, of Houston, passed away Monday, September 20, 
1976. Resident of Chappell Hill for several years. Survivors: Daughters, Gilmer 
Dethloff, Mattie Long, Dorothy Hannum, all of Houston: sons James B. Matthews, 
Houston, Dan Owen Matthews, Merigold, Miss., Wm C. Matthews, Memphis, Tenn; 
sister, Mrs. Mable Prescott, Houston; 11 grandchildren: 19 great grandchildren; 
one great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. Services Wednesday 
2:00 PM Earthman Gulf Freeway Chapel. Interment Forest Park Lawndale. 
Pallbearers: Jack Hahn, Donald Frank, Hugh Frank, John Weidler, William C. 
Matthews Jr., Faran L. Lonidier.
