Houston Chronicle, April 1, 1923
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday for Mrs. Mary Jerome Pickard, 
50 years old, who died at 4 p.m. Saturday at her home, 804 Cordell Street. 
Burial will be Hollywood Cemetery, with Rev. L. Smith officiating. The Fogie-
West Undertaking Company will have charge of funeral arrangements. Mrs. 
Pickard is survived by two daughters, Mrs. A. E. Loomis and Mrs. A. H. Tofte, 
both of Houston, and four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Pickard, Fort Drifton, 
Texas; Mrs. Dora Holmark of Hemphill, Mrs. Florence Osburn of San Augustine, 
and Mrs. Ella Wood of Houston.

Additional Comments:
Mary was the daughter of Joel "Joe Mack" MCBROOM & Narcissa Francis "Fanny" 
CURRY. She married Burtis B. PICKARD on 14 Jan 1892 in San Augustine County TX 
and they had two daughters.
