Tucker April 11, 2007, 1:47 pm Houston Chronicle, Houston, Texas, June 19, 2004 Death Notices DOROTHEA RUNGE POLAND Dorothes Kay Runge POLAND, 43, born January 13, 1961, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2004. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend. Kay had a deep love for her church and church family and loved teaching children's church, and attending all of her son's sports, music, and academic activities. She was actively involved in boy scouting and has watched her eldest son achieve his Eagle Scout Rank, and was helping her youngest son obtain his goals. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, James Billy POLAND. Kay is survived by her husband, James Wesley POLAND; sons, James Michael POLAND and Jeffrey Alexander POLAND, all of Sugar Land, Texas; parents, James and Vickey Runge of Clear Lake, Texas; sister, Sandra Runge of Houston, Texas; mother-in-law, Betty Jean Dacus POLAND of Zavalla, Texas; sister-in-laws, Betty Carryl POLAND Carrell and husband, Tommy, of Zavalla, Texas; Delisa Jo POLAND Seale and husband, Steve of Houston, Texas, Judith Frances POLAND Pyburn and husband, Stanley, of Silsbee, Texas. She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 8 great-nieces and nephews; and numerous friends. A memorial service for Kay will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Williams Trace Baptist Church in Sugar Land, Texas. Dr. Phil Lineberger, Pastor, will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to your favorite charity of choice.
