Luther L. Vanderburg, 73, 1903 Reid, passed away Monday. Veteran World War I. 
Survivors: wife, Mrs. Jessie B. Vanderburg; sons, Johnie Ray and Louis R. 
Vanderburg, all of Houston, Luther L. Vanderburg Jr., Astoria, Ore.; 
daughters, Mrs. A. R. James Jr., Houston, Mrs. Margie Faye Whelchel, Clear 
Water, Fla.; half brothers, Sigby Browning, Louisiana, Alvin Browning, Jacinto 
City; sister, Mrs. Jean Boles, San Angelo; 17 grandchildren, two great-
grandchildren. Chapel services 10 a.m. Wednesday Niday Chapel. Interment 
Veterans Administration Cemetery. Niday Funeral Home, 7718 Bellfort, MI5-2471.
