Aldis and wife Lula Alvi (Henderson) and son G. Maynard Aldis. George R. was born 23 Oct 1858 in Columbus, Colorado Co, TX and died 23 Apr 1923. Lula Alvi (Henderson) Aldis was born 22 May 1863 in New Ulm, TX. Her parents were William and Cynthia Ann Henderson. She was a granddaughter of William Alley, who came to Texas in 1820 with Stephen F. Austin's famous first colony, "The Old Three Hundred" and who later founded the town of Alleyton in Colorado County. Her Uncle, J. Pickney Henderson, was the first Governor of Texas. She was also a descendant of Thomas Henderson, one of the founders of Jamestown, VA and of Samuel Henderson, who was with Daniel Boone's first colony in Kentucky. She died 26 Feb 1953 in Houston, TX. Additional Comments: G. Maynard Aldis was the son of George and Lula Aldis. He was born 03 Sep 1883 in Alleyton, TX and died 11 Nov 1937.
