Announcements were received here this week of the wedding at Houston, Texas, 
on Wednesday, July the Fourteenth of Mrs. Emma F. Smith, mother of our fellow-
citizen, Mr. Harry J. Smith and Mr. Charles B. Brown a resident of the above 
named city. They will continue to reside there. Mrs. Brown resided in New 
Iberia for a number of years and made many friends while living here with her 
son. The Enterprise extends its best wishes to the happy couple.

Additional Comments:

NOTE: Emma Smith nee Foster, born abt. 1870 in Germany was previously 
married to George F. Smith. She and George F. Smith had a son Harry J. 
Smith.

Harry J. Smith married Rita M. Barrow 3 Feb 1913 in Iberia Parish, LA. Rita 
was the daughter of A. G. Barrow and Laurence Hebert. On the marriage 
license/bond, Harry's parents are listed as George F. Smith and Emma Foster.
