Lived in Washington Co., Al, about 44 years, and finally made the move to Harrison Co., Tx. 1858, In many of the letters to his brother Jesse Grimes William would talk of visiting Texas, (which he did ) and of maybe moving there one day , he was only able to enjoy that move for about 3 years, William died March 3, 1861. Do not know if these letters are at the History Center in Austin, Tx. But they were not found on the other index.
