Died:

Judge David Caven, father of Hon. W. J. Caven, at the
family residence, on Friday evening, 5th. inst.  Aged
77 years.  The deceased was born in Belfast, Ireland.
At the age of twenty, he came to the United States.
About 1830, he moved to Augusta, Georgia, where he mar-
ried. He came to Texas in 1859.
