"Buster's" death occurred on 1 October 1934 at the age of 22 years, 10 months, 2 days. He was the son of A.L. and Emma [Willis] Cox. Buster was living in the Howard community at the time of his death. His funeral was a graveside officiated by Rev. Hammer and Buster's burial was in the Howard cemetery. Buster was a candidate for Haskell County Commissioner Precinct 3 at the time of his death. He joined the Baptist church in 1906. Survivors: widow; 2 year old daughter, mother Brothers: Orville, U.K., Fred, A.L., Jr. Cox Sisters: Lelia Evelyn and Mary Jo Cox No stone was found in the cemetery.
