"Anna" Grand Mrs. Anna Grand was born 10 December 1870 in Uraguay, South America. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Anna died 27 January 1938 at her home in the Howard Community at the age of 67 years, 1 month, 17 days. She was the daughter of Paul Solomon. Anna was married to J.S. Grand. Her funeral was a graveside at the Howard cemetery officiated by R.P. Hines of Stamford and N.G. Hammer of Haskell Baptist churches. Anna was the wife of pioneer landowner and rancher, J.S. Grand. She came to the United States in 1875 settling first in Missouri. Anna moved to Gainesville in 1889 and moved to Haskell County in 1907. She married her first husband, Nicholas Vellauri in 1895 at Gainesville. Survivors: Mrs. Jim Dean of Haskell - from first marriage surviving husband John Grand of Haskell Alfred Grand of Haskell Russell Grand of Haskell Mrs. William McDonald of Flagstaff, AZ 16 grandchildren No stone was found in the cemetery.
