Barton Born September 16th, 1845, Came with his father to Mountain City hays county, February 1854, where he lived to his death. Married Melinda Gatlin January 4, 1871. Died February 26th, 1896. Arthur had been a good boy and man, made a good citizen, father and husband, was a member of no church, had been the object of many prayers, gave evidence of conversion about four years ago since which time has borne evidence to Jesus as his Savior. He has been for years a sufferer by a cancer and has borne his sufferings as none but a christian can, has been for weeks anxiously waiting his Saviors call. He leaves a loving wife who in her weak health feels keenly the final separation and four children to mourn his loss besides four loving sisters and one true and tried brother who could not be at his side on account of his own sickness, besides scores of true friends and neighbors to mourn his loss but we cannot wish him back to this world of suffering. Many friends followed him to his resting place where services were conducted by the writer, his old friend. May we all meet thee, Arthur in the happy beyond. D. A.
