A.L. Martin officiating. Mr. Thompson a retired farmer, died March 30, 1954 at 4:30 a.m. at his home in Cheyenne following a long illness. He was born November 23, 1870 in Joe Davis county, Illinois and was married to Rachel McIntire at Nita, Iowa in 1891. He moved to Roger Mills County in 1902 from Missouri. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rachel Thompson, W.O. Thompson, Grand Junction, Colorado, C.V. Thompson, San Diego, California, three brothers Wallace Thompson, McAlester, Louis Granda, Colorado, Sherman, Lamar, Colorado; one sister, Mrs. Bert Porter, Canadian, Texas, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Committal was in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills Counnty, Oklahoma with Scroggins Funeral Home in charge. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
