I have just discovered a gold mine of information." She goes on to say that anyone who does not know about these books at the court house should definitely check them out for the assortment of information available in them. The following material will give insight to what is there. Estate OF DAVID O. WARREN Dated: 24 March 1871 W. H. Warren, administrator of the Estate of David O. Warren, sold Estate on 3rd of May 1870 by order of the Probate Court. 3070 acres in Bosque County sold for $738.00 to J. W. Warren 2302 acres in Jack County sold for $614.00 to Heirs & Barnes 3148 acres Headright certificate, Elizabeth Davis to Henry Warren 4428 acres Henderson County on Ralph Hunter survey to Henry Warren (This is the location of LaRue, Texas) 4802 in Leon County to Henry Warren (Vol. L. page 586, 737 and 738 in Leon County, Probate Minutes). BOOK ONE, PAGE 305 Dated: 24 March 1911 Mrs. Cora Dunklin Tolle, testified that she was the daughter of G. T. Dunklin and J. E. Dunklin, now both deceased. Children of G. T. and J. E. Dunklin were listed as: 1)Della Dunklin, married C. B. Pickle 2) Georgia Dunklin, married J. L. Mitcham now living in Henderson County, Texas 3) Earl Dunklin, a girl, married John Hogan 4) Una Dunklin, married T. J. Pledge 5) Cora Dunklin, married W. D. Tolle 6) Gilbert Dunklin (now over 21 years of age) G. T. Dunklin married twice. His children by his first wife were: 1) Cotus Dunklin 2) Hattie Dunklin, married J. H. Hodge 3) Hillard Dunklin 4) Crix Dunklin, a boy G. T. and J.E. Dunklin had two other children, Joseph and Tom, who died in infancy. Mrs. J. E. Dunklin married twice. Her first husband's name Was Simons. She had two sons: 1) Cicero Simons and 2) Jim Simons. BOOK ONE, PAGE 195 AFFIDAVIT The State of Texas County of Travis Before me, the undersighned authority, this day personally appeared Sam Sparks, who being duly sworn by me on his oath, says that he is the son of Sam A. Sparks and grandson of William C. Sparks. That from family history and tradition and largely from his own knowledge, he gives the following facts: "The said William C. Sparks was married about 25 April 1822 to Sarah Reed by whom he had six children, to-wit: Stephen J., Martha, Nancy, Harriett, Sarah and Elizabeth. First wife died about 19 May 1836 and William C. Sparks married Second to Mrs. Jane Skelton about 15 January 1837, and had six children: 1) Clara Sparks married Volney Cavitt now living 2) John Sparks, deceased 3) Elijah Sparks, deceased 4) Minerva Sparks, married Mike Reed, a widow 5) William C. Sparks, now living 6) Sam A. Sparks John A. Sparks died shortly after the War, leaving wife and one child (who died shortly after the death of the father). His widow Martha Sparks, married Major Rogers, an was a widow again by 1900. Elijah Sparks dies during the Cival War 1861-1865. His widow is now deceased, leaving one child, Mrs. Jane McKay, wife of A.J.McKay. Signed: Sam Sparks BOOK ONE, PAGE 635 AFFIDAVIT Mrs. F. F. Ayers, wife of Fred Ayres, testified that she married Cicero B. Rusk on 4 September 1881 and had three children: 1) Thomas J. Rusk 2) Addie Rusk 3) Benjamin (Bennie E. Rusk, a girl. On this date of death Cicero B. Rusk, on 25th of December 1886 All his children were over 21 years of age. 1) Addie Rusk, died 16 May 1905, single After death of Cicero B. Rusk, his former wife, Elizabeth Rusk, married R. J. Gardner, and had children: 1) Grover C. Gardner, who was 21 years of age on 12 Nov 1911. 2) Hubert O. G. Gardner, twenty years of age on 12 July 1912. 3) I. D. Gardner, seventeen years of age on 17 August 1912 All were living in LaRue, Texas After the death of J. R. Gardner, his widow married Fred Ayres. After death of Addie Rusk, she left her only brother, Thomas J. Rusk, a full sisiter, Bennie E. Rusk, and Elizabeth Ayres, her mother, four half-sisters and brothers. DATED 16 Oct 1912 BOOK 2, PAGE 196 AFFIDAVIT Dated 23 Jan 1915 Annie B. Bradley, a resident of Morgan County, Alabama, widow ofStephen B. Bradley, reported that she had three adopted children: 1) John B. Bradley, of Navarro, Texas 2) Bessie B. Bradley 3) Beulah Maude Bradley On 29 September, 1914 all were of sound mind and under twenty years, exceping John C. Bradley. The Chancery Court of Morgan County, Alabama removed their disabilities as minors on 23 January 1915. BOOK TWO PAGE 191 On 13 November 1891, J. B. Walker and wife, conveyed to J. H. Morrow, 771/2 acres in the Anna Davis League. (Vol. 51, page 608 in Henderson County.)J. M. Moon testified, " I paid the notes myself, and I know they have been cancelled."
