TX Mrs. W. D. Lewis, 1857 Provine Street, Ft. Worth, TX 76103, furnished this data abstracted from the minutes. Constitution: State of Texas, County of Henderson. We certify that we did on the 26th day of March A.D. 1860 at the request of the following Brethren and Sisters after the proper examination did on day and date above named constituted them into a church. The Primitive Baptist faith and order. Distinguished by them the name Mr. Olive Church Constituted upon the Articles of Faith by the union Primitive Baptist Association Names of Brethren and Sisters as Follows: Presbytery: James Major and L. G. Ashby. S. R. Carver, Nancy Carver, William Carver, John Carver, Levi Carver, T. T. Temples, Judy Temples, Elizabeth Laymance. After the constitution of the church sat in conference and opened the door of the church for reception of members. Received by experience and baptism. Jacob R. Laymance. L. G. Ashby, Moderator, He was the first pastor for the church. The second Sunday and Saturday preceding was set aside as regular meeting day. The church was first located near Rock Hill. On Saturday night, August 1860, the door of the church was opened and Amanda W. Laymance came forward and joined by experience and baptism.
