Last Saturday was the day set apart by the commissioners court for the people of Henderson County to decide whether or not they would have prohibition in their county. The election passed off very quietly when we consider the amount of interest manifsted on each side. The vote in this county is so close that it is impossible for us to tell, at this writing, which party has gained the victory. The votes, while anti-Prohibitionests claim a majority of 4 votes. The offical count will take place on the 6th July at which time we will give the results.
