C. Murphy of Athens were LaRue visitors last Sunday. Dean Bros. are building a residence for Dr. S. O. Hays. J. W. Park of Frankston was a LaRue visitor last Friday. John Oliver of Crandall visited his brother Alf M. Oliver last week. Quite a crowd of LaRueites attend the Dallas Fair last Sunday. Mr. Jones of Limestone county visited his son Jim this week. J. P. Williams of Catfish was in LaRue Monday. Horace Beckham residing at Dr. Wallace's at LaRue died suddenly Saturday night and was buried Sunday at New York. (* Horace O. Beckham Oct. 11, 1890 Oct 26, 1913 WOW # 1813 New York Cemetery) Chas. F. Regester of LaRue died Monday. Mr. Regester had been confined to his room for several months. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and was buried by LaRue Camp. Mr. Regester was teh oldest merchant here, was LaRue's first postmaster which position he held till the time of his death. He had resiged several months ago but his successor had not qualified at date of his death. Mr. Regester was a prominent and successful merchant and gave universal satisfaction as postmaster.
